Shimano's Altus SL-M315-8R is a dependable, no-nonsense 8-speed RapidFire Plus trigger shifter for the rear derailleur, built for riders who want reliable shifting without a premium price tag. 2-Way Release means you can drop a gear with either a push of the thumb or a pull of the index finger, and the RapidFire mechanism lets you dump up to three gears in a single stroke when you need to shed speed for a climb fast.

A gear position display sits just below the handlebar so you always know where you are without looking down at the cassette, and Shimano's OPTISLICK-coated cable routing keeps shifts light and consistent over time. It's compatible with Shimano road and mountain derailleurs across making it an easy match for a wide range of existing setups.
