[ The Flaming Lips X Oklahoma City Comets ] Battle In Orbit Baseball

A baseball becomes a canvas for Oklahoma City’s wonderfully strange side in this limited-edition Local Legends release from The Flaming Lips and the OKC Comets. The band’s Pink Robot and the Comets’ astronaut take over opposing panels, bringing two otherworldly characters from the same hometown into one collectible design. Radiating psychedelic artwork follows the seams and transforms the familiar shape of the game into something that feels pulled from a Flaming Lips stage. More than a meeting of logos, the baseball captures the heart of the collaboration: a celebration of the music, imagination and baseball history that make Oklahoma City unlike anywhere else.

The Flaming Lips are an Oklahoma City–born psychedelic rock band formed in 1983, known for blending experimental sound, surreal storytelling and spectacular live performances. Led by Wayne Coyne, the band has built a decades-long legacy around fearless creativity and an imaginative world entirely their own.
